First Friday Devotions
On the first Friday of each month (September to June), the 6:30pm Mass is followed by traditional devotions: prayers to the Sacred Heart and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (during which time confessions will be available) and benediction. Finishing at 8:15pm. During Lent the devotions are replaced by the Stations of the Cross before Mass.
Catechism Morning for children at St John’s Church
Usually the second Saturday of each month at 12pm: Ages 4-12.
Youth Catechism
A monthly class online for young people aged from 13 to 17. The class usually takes place on a Monday evening at 8pm.
Monthly Meetings for Adults
- St Declan’s Men’s Recollection: at St John’s after the 6:30pm Mass, usually on the last Friday of the month.
- St Ita’s Ladies’ Recollection: at St John’s after the 11am Mass, usually on the first Saturday of the month.
Sunday Rosary
The Rosary is prayed twenty minutes before each Sunday Mass.
Guild of St Clare
The Irish Guild of St Clare is dedicated to repairs of liturgical vestments for the FSSP Latin Mass Irish Apostolates and occasional needlework projects for associated groups.
